About Abstract & AVR and how each division can help with your lighting needs.

Abstract for effective colour changing LED products.
Abstract has pioneered the colour revolution with its approach to colour in architectural and entertainment lighting sectors. Abstract was the first to offer a colour changing unit in an architectural environment with its CM50. Although the CM50 has now been discontinued it served for years as the leader in architectural colour rendering up until LED was discovered. The decision to move to LED for achieving a colour changing effect was an effortless one. Abstract has always been at the forefront of LED technology and because of the attributes of LED, abstract was amongst the first to incorporate LED in an architectural surrounding.

Abstract incorporated LED because of the following benefits: Long life, advanced colour mixing, lower operating costs and all in all a much safer light source.

LED does not come without its indifferences however, but luckily Abstract has overcome every problem over its 9 year partnership with LED so you dont have to. Through thick and thin LED has rose to the occasion and due to the competitive nature of LED manufacturers the quality of LED is constantly evolving. Abstract has also rose to the occasion as an industry leader and ensures only the best "light emitting diodes" are incorporated across its entire range. A good example is Abstract's brand new CE3 range.
AVR for energy efficient white LED lighting products.

Why use LED lighting?
LED light is mostly monochromatic - it is made up of one single colour only.  Multicoloured LED lights are made by incorporating two or more different colour chips, in a single package.  White light is a mixture of the three primary colours - red, green and blue, in the correct proportions.  White LED lights are either of the three-chip (RGB) type, or the new high brightness devices, which use a phosphor that emits white light when illuminated by a blue or ultraviolet LED chip. LED lights come in a variety of packages, colours and beam widths (viewing angle) - narrow beams giving high forward brightness at the expense of side illumination.
AbstractAVR colour changing and white LED lighting solutions
LED lighting is extremely efficient and in normal use generates little discernable heat.  Led lighting also has a very long life as long as the LEDS are run below their maximum rating - the mean time between failure is estimated to be as much as 100,000 hours.  Current consumption is minimal - sunlight visible LED lighting draws about 20mA as against the 100mA or more needed by an equivalent filament bulb.
