Abstract AVR's Ledion range provide energy efficient lighting effects
Nestled in Holmleigh Park Tuffley, on the suburb of Gloucester is an active forward thinking community school that has led the way in educational lighting interaction.
Jason Bruges studios responsible for this incredible system of light for educational purposes have developed with their led partners Abstract AVR, a bespoke system that has allows interactive control across a wide area of led panels. This amazing concept has been specially designed by the Jason Bruges studio in conjunction with the Beaufort Community School to interact on a different level with their pupils.
Tony Kingsley of Ambient Lighting Cambridgeshire first approached Steve Watts of Abstract on behalf of Tom Sloan of Jason Bruges studios to create a system that would be bright enough for the task at hand; the main problem for this project is the daylight that will naturally create issues during normal school opening hours.
Abstract AVR's extensive experience gained from their Alliance and Leicester contract earlier this year producing bespoke daylight led lighting was used to create the base led system that would light the huge tubs located in 64 places around the external classrooms. The led tubs are all individually controlled from the main Jason Bruges control console via dmx.
Each led tub as they are referred to has 24 clusters of Red/Blue/Green/White 1 watt led’s, each led has been colour ranked for maximum light output and colour consistency. Abstract AVR have both the experience and buying power to guarantee the quality of their product to meet the closest of tolerance, this is evident when you view the entire led installation from one sightline.
“The Luxeon K2 led was deployed throughout the installation due to it robust thermal properties and solid reliable track record” states Steve Watts of Abstract AVR. “We have learnt the do's and dont's of led manufacture and can now boast one of the finest production facilities within the UK”.
The Leicestershire based manufacturing company has state of the art robotic production with 4 newly commissioned fully automotive pick and place machines for the assembly of Luxeon K2 led’s and associated control gear. Abstract AVR develop, design and manufacture an entire range of led product available off the shelf. Product brochure download.
